My aim is always that you are as comfortable as possible during the entire tattoo process & that you feel fully able to express your ideas & needs.
Getting tattooed is an important, healing & transformative process ~ It's important you feel entirely in control & capable throughout!
Below you can find information on the studio, what to expect at your appointment, the healing process, general FAQs, guest spots, events & my Ts&Cs.
The Studio
I work from a private studio in central Bristol alongside some of the most wonderful & inspiring artists I know! Find us on Instagram at @longfoxbristol.
We are located a 15-minute walk from Temple Meads Train Station & have access to a car park - which you are very welcome to park in for free.
Once you have booked in - The address will be sent out to you within your booking confirmation email. (Please do let me know if you need it before this point to plan your travel arrangements or need any travel advice!)
We are wheelchair accessible & have access to a disabled bathroom on site!
What you can expect at your appointment?
At the start of your appointment, we will kindly ask that you fill in our studio consent form & you will be welcome to use the bathroom/have a moment to familiarise yourself!
For small custom work, I will show you my drawing at the start of your appointment & you'll have the opportunity to let me know what you think & if you'd like any changes to the drawing or colours! I always build in time to allow for small redraws so please let me know your thoughts - whatever they may be!
For larger custom tattoos I aim to send out my drawings of your design in the week leading up to your appointment & you'll be welcome to let me know if you'd like any changes then!
Available accommodations!
I am very happy to be able to offer any of these accommodations so please do let me know if you'd like any of these!
A quieter day with fewer people in the studio
To bring someone else with you to help you through your apppointment
If you'd like privacy screens for your appointment
More frequent breaks during tattooing
A step to get on & off the bed
Me to meet you outside the studio
(I'll come & wave at you!)
Less or no background noise during your appointment
Anything else that may help you!
Healing your tattoo!
At the end of your appointment, I will wrap your tattoo to protect it using cling film & tape - Please leave this on for between 3-5 hours
Remove the clingfilm & gently clean your tattoo with warm water - if you are finding this hard you can use a tiny amount of soap but make sure to rinse this off - let your tattoo air dry or pat it dry with a paper towel
Depending on your tattoo you may want to re-wrap it with clingfilm either overnight - to protect your sheets while your tattoo is still in the wet stage, or if you need to wear tight clothing that may rub
Clean your tattoo as & when is needed - at least twice a day until it begins to dry out. Then you can begin moisturising!
I recommend Palmers Cocoa Butter which you can find at most supermarkets & is super affordable - keep your tattoo moisturised until all the top layer of skin has shed off
Do not submerge your tattoo in water for 2 weeks at a minimum - Showers are, of course, fine!
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I need to do anything in preparation for my appointment?
-
Please come to your appointment well-rested & hydrated. It's important you eat within 2 hours of the start of your appointment & please do not drink alcohol less than 24hrs before - drinking afterward is fine!
-
-
Any advice for first tattoos?
-
It's never as painful as you will be expecting - The closest sensation is as if someone is scratching your sunburn so uncomfortable but bearable! Feeling anxious beforehand is super normal & can be helpful for the pain as your adrenaline systems are already kicked on! Other than that, relax, listen to your artist's recommendations & make sure to voice your thoughts & needs!
-
-
When can I not get tattooed?
-
Unfortunately, you cannot get tattooed if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking antibiotics or some other prescription medicines - if you are unsure, please do get in touch!
-
-
Do you tattoo designs more than once?
-
Nope! I believe everyone deserves a unique tattoo as we are all unique! However, I am always happy to tattoo similar ideas potentially with the same elements.
-
-
How much will my tattoo cost?
-
During the booking process I will give you a quote & let you know roughly how long your tattoo will take - please allow time around this for stenciling/wrapping up, etc.
-
-
Can I listen to music/podcasts during my appointment?
-
Of course! I'm happy for you to do whatever is most helpful for you! For some that is chatting, for others being silent or distracting yourself with your phone or a book, etc!
-
-
What are your most favourite things to tattoo?
-
I always love organic things - flowers, animals, people, and any traditional imagery - boats, big cats etc.

Terms & Conditions
All deposits are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule - please do so more than 48hrs before your appointment or you will not be able to transfer your existing deposit & will need to place a new one down to reschedule.
Deposits are transferrable once - please do not book in unless you know you can make it,
Please include as much information about your vision for your tattoo as possible - If you do not & need significant redraws this time will incur an additional cost & will be added onto your total at the end of the tattoo & therefore your total may be outside of your quote.
Please do not bring people with you without discussing with me first - I am one small, anxious person - I cannot host your entire friend group.
If you need a very high level of control over your tattoo, I am not the artist for you. My working style is collaborative since I have a well-developed style & I only take on work in my style.
Please be flexible with your travel - I will not rush so otherwise you may end up with an unfinished tattoo if you have booked an exact train/bus too early.
If I do not think I am the best person for your tattoo I am always happy to recommend other artists - please respect my right to not take on your tattoo if this is the case.
